Bundle of Joy

My friends, Annie & Eric, are having their first child this summer. To kick off the new addition to the Brown clan, my mom, some friends, and I put together a party to shower the little one (and the parents-to-be) with gifts!

Annie is an animator and has an un-dying love for all things Disney (and peapods!), so we thought we’d give her a Toy Story themed baby shower! Here’s how it turned out!

Sangria Recipe (yields 30-40 servings):

3 large bottles of white wine (I used 1 Chardonnay, 1 Moscato, and 1 Pinot Grigio)

1 large bottle brut champagne (**add right before serving!)

6-10 ounces peach schnapps (or another flavor, if you prefer!)

6 ounces triple sec

1 bottle of mandarin orange sparking juice (I got mine from Trader Joe’s- any orange flavored soda will do! **Also add this JUST before serving)

6-8 ounces orange juice (to taste)

8 ounces grapefruit juice (to taste)

6 ounces white grape juice (to taste)

3 Oranges

3 Limes

1 Grapefruit

Sugar- to taste

Large liquid container (I used a 3 gallon one)

DIRECTIONS:

Slice fruit length wise for a pretty display. You may have to quarter the grapefruit slices as they are pretty large. Add to a large container. Pour all wine in. Add triple sec and peach schnapps. Add OJ and grapefruit juice. Add sugar to taste. This sangria should be sweet, but if you like it tart, don’t add sugar and/or add more grapefruit juice. Chill overnight in fridge.

Take out just before guests arrive and add champagne and orange soda. Serve over ice!

Baby Parker is almost here and we couldn’t be more excited! Hope you enjoyed this peek into Annie’s special day!

xoxo,
